The CTPB is a European evaluation institution that sets the benchmark for derivatives trading competence.
Candidates are assessed under simulated market conditions across four performance domains over a defined evaluation period. Each domain carries independent pass/fail thresholds.
Traders who meet all evaluation thresholds are designated as CTPB Certified Traders. The credential serves as third-party verification of proficiency, independent of the candidate's background or prior qualifications.
The evaluation is open to all individual traders. There are no prerequisites in formal education or prior certification. All evaluation criteria and pass/fail thresholds are published before registration.
Registration requires a fixed evaluation fee, payable at the time of enrolment. The fee covers access to the full evaluation programme and is the sole charge processed through this website.
Certified traders are listed in the CTPB registry and may reference their certification status in professional contexts.
